Licence terms

One payment for the version you buy. Free minor updates and bug fixes. No subscription or recurring licence checks.

1. Your purchase

Vera is licensed, not sold as intellectual property. Your purchase gives you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the purchased major version for your personal or business work, subject to these terms.

One licence covers one person on one device they own or control. You may move Vera to a replacement device by removing it from the device it replaces. A separate user needs a separate licence.

You own your calendar entries, notes, tasks and other content. We do not acquire ownership of that content through your use of Vera.

2. Free updates and optional major upgrades

Minor updates and bug fixes released for your purchased major version are free. You do not need a subscription to receive them.

Future major upgrades may carry an additional charge. A charge is not automatic or guaranteed. If we offer a paid major upgrade, we will explain its features and price before you decide whether to buy it.

Paid major upgrades are optional. Declining an upgrade does not cancel your licence or prevent you from continuing to use your existing version. For example, fixes and minor updates within version 1 are free; a future version 2 may be free or offered as an optional paid upgrade.

A bug-fix-only release will not become a paid upgrade simply because its version number changes. We will not require payment for an upgrade where a free remedy is required by consumer law.

A perpetual licence is a right to continue using the purchased version. It is not a promise of every future major version, indefinite development or compatibility with every future Windows or Microsoft service change. Any support retirement will be communicated, and does not remove your statutory rights.

3. Downloads and offline use

Vera does not require activation, a Vera account, device registration or periodic online licence validation. Once installed, its core local features work offline.

Internet access is needed to buy and download Vera, retrieve updates, use optional Outlook connections and, where required, download the Microsoft WebView2 runtime during installation.

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. The checkout shows the price, currency and applicable taxes before payment. Lemon Squeezy’s purchase terms apply to its payment service.

A secure download link may expire. Link expiry does not expire your installed app or licence. Keep a copy of your installer and receipt. If you need a replacement link, contact support with your order details; proof of purchase may be required.

4. Permitted use

You may keep installer and data backups for your own use. Do not share your purchase link, distribute paid installers to other users, resell access or use one personal licence to cover multiple people.

Do not use Vera unlawfully or infringe other people’s rights. Restrictions do not override uses permitted by applicable law or rights granted by third-party open-source licences. Relevant third-party notices will accompany the release.

5. Optional connections and local data

Microsoft sign-in is optional for local work. Outlook features depend on your Microsoft account, granted permissions, organisation policies and Microsoft’s services. Check the published compatibility information before purchase.

Your local database and exported backups are not encrypted by Vera. You control your device security and backups. Some edits to connected calendar entries and mail affect your Microsoft account; review changes before making them.

Back up before installing an update or restoring data. These precautions do not exclude any responsibility we have under consumer law. See Privacy and Support for details.

6. Refunds and the licence

Our Refund Policy provides a 14-day change-of-mind window and preserves remedies required by law.

If a purchase is fully refunded, the licence supplied by that purchase ends. Stop using and remove the affected copy unless you have another valid licence. A refund of a separately purchased major upgrade does not cancel a separately paid earlier-version licence.

Refunds do not remotely disable Vera or erase your local data. Preserve your data and exports before removing the app. Partial refunds do not automatically end your licence.

7. Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under Australian Consumer Law.

Vera must meet applicable consumer guarantees. If something is faulty or not as described, contact us; the appropriate remedy depends on the problem and applicable law. There is no blanket “no refunds”, “all faults excluded” or “use entirely at your own risk” term.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms for future purchases. A later website edit does not remove perpetual-use rights or included update rights already granted with your purchase. Any necessary changes remain subject to applicable law.
